Abstract

Problem of trust has appeared in different disciplines of science for ages (for example sociology). The knowledge about trust can be found in many branches of philosophy such as political philosophy (Aristotle, Politics; Hobbes, Leviathan; Machiavelli, The Prince) or ethics (Aristotle, Nicomachean Ethics; Plato, The State). The analysed fragments were presented in chronological way and provided with commentary concerning contemporary research into this issue.
