Dla dzieci czy dla dorosłych? O dwuadresowości w literaturze dziecięcej na przykładzie książek o Muminkach Tove Jansson

Abstract

W artykule skoncentrowano się na obecności podwójnego adresata w serii powieści o Muminkach fińskiej pisarki i malarki Tove Jansson. Książki te postrzegane są w Polsce jako literatura dziecięca, jednak wiele treści skierowanych jest do drugiego, immanentnego czytelnika książek dla dzieci, dorosłego. Koncepcja dwuadresowości towarzyszy literaturze dziecięcej od dawna (por. Barbara Wall, Emer O’Sullivan, Perry Nodelman, Zofia Adamczykowa). Autorka zwróciła uwagę na filozoficzne zainteresowania Tove Jansson, która czytała prace Henriego Bergsona i Oswalda Spenglera. Jansson nie korzysta jednak z protekcjonalnego zwrotu do dorosłego za plecami dziecka. Traktuje dzieci na równych warunkach i sprawia, że odczytają one książki o Muminkach na poziomie fascynujących przygód. Dorosły dostrzeże w nich inne treści, choć być może nie zawsze skojarzy je z myślą znanych filozofów.

The paper focuses on the presence of a double address in a series of the Moomin novels by Tove Jansson – a Finnish writer and painter. These books are perceived in Poland as children's literature but a lot of content is targeted at another immanent reader of children's books – an adult. The concept of dual address has accompanied children's literature for long and first I devote some attention to a number of proposals in the approach to this issue: by Barbara Wall, Emer O'Sullivan, Perry Nodelman, Zofia Adamczykowa. Next I turn attention to the philosophical interest of Tove Jansson who read works by Henri Bergson and Oswald Spengler, and undoubtedly the inspiration of their reading can be seen already in her first novels about the Moomins. However the author does not use a patronizing address to adults behind a child's back. She treats children on equal terms, which makes that the Moomin books are read by them at the level of fascinating adventure. Adults can perceive other content in them though perhaps they will not always associate it with some views of famous philosophers.
