Liczebniki dwoje, oboje/obydwoje, troje w polskim języku literackim i w dialektach

Abstract

The paper describes the status of collective numerals, especially those endirg in -oje, in modern literary Polish and in the dialects of the Polish linguistic area. The following problems are discussed: 1) the position of these words in vocabulary and their semantic scope; 2) their distribution in texts, including their relation to other numerals expressing the same numerical value (dwoje г dwa г dwie t dwaj i dwóch ) and other те ans of quantification (dwójka dzieci, dwie pary nożyczek); 3) their morphology i.e. their relation to the categories of number, case and gender.
