The article discusses the main aspects of productivity imptovements
including; designing of products and preparation of production, production processes (especially auxiliary and assebly processes, and flow of products), physical and psychosacial conditions of work, and office work processes. In each case, the author analyzes goals, possibilities and directions of productivity improvement referring to examples and statistical data. Criteria of analysis are technical, economic, organizational and
social conditions and effects of productivity improvements.
