Bohater historyczny i jego rola w opinii studentów Uniwersytetu w Białymstoku

Abstract

Przedmiotem przedstawionych w artykule rozważań jest bohater historyczny i jego rola na przykładzie postaci generała Władysława Sikorskiego. Praca ma charakter teoretyczno- empiryczny, prezentuje wyniki badań zrealizowane wśród studentów Uniwersytetu w Białymstoku. Analizę podjętej tematyki rozpoczęto od omówienia pojęć: pamięć zbiorowa oraz bohater historyczny. W kolejnej części opisany został sposób definiowania przez studentów terminu bohater historyczny, ocena postaci generała Władysława Sikorskiego, jego postępowania oraz zasług względem Polski.

The presented article concerns the historical hero and his role as illustrated by the figure of General Władysław Sikorski. The work has a theoretical and empirical character and presents the findings of the study conducted on the students of the University in Białystok. The analysis of the subject matter was commenced with defining the following notions: ‘collective memory’ and ‘historical hero’. In the next section there is the description of a way the students define the term: ’historical hero’ and the evaluation of the figure of General Władysław Sikorski, his deeds and his services to Poland.
