Empowering Europe’s youth for community
Across Europe, many young people feel disconnected from their communities and uncertain about their future. With limited opportunities to participate in local decision-making, they often lack a voice in shaping policies that impact their lives. This disconnection contributes to declining civic engagement and fewer youth-focused initiatives in many regions. Without active involvement, communities miss out on the fresh ideas and energy that young people bring. In this context, the EU-funded YOUROPE project will create platforms for young people to engage in local governance, share their perspectives and address local issues. Through skills development and community projects YOUROPE empowers youth to become active participants, helping build stronger, more inclusive communities across Europe.
