Dobrowolne i przymusowe migracje na terenach Ziem Odzyskanych w trakcie i po II wojnie światowej

Abstract

The World War II and the first five years that followed were a time characterised by highly diverse forms of migration in the lands granted to Poland by the Potsdam Agreement of 1945. These resulted in a significant change in the demographic composition of the population living in the lands referred to as the Recovered Territories. The aim of the study is to examine the diversity of the migration processes that occurred in these territories (displacements, resettlements, repatriation, re-emigration and economic migration) as well as to indicate their directions and political circumstances. The author presents detailed statistics illustrating the voluntary and forced population movements based on archival sources and literature on the subject.

Czas II wojny światowej i pierwsze powojenne pięciolecie to okres, w którym na ziemiach przyznanych państwu polskiemu umową poczdamską z 1945 r. wystąpiły bardzo zróżnicowane formy migracji. Ich efektem była istotna zmiana składu demograficznego ludności zamieszkującej tzw. Ziemie Odzyskane. Celem opracowania jest z jednej strony pokazanie różnorodności procesów migracyjnych na tych terenach (wysiedleń, przesiedleń, repatriacji, reemigracji oraz migracji na tle ekonomicznym), jak i wskazanie ich kierunków i uwarunkowań politycznych. W tekście autorka przedstawia szczegółowe statystyki ilustrujące dobrowolne i przymusowe przemieszczenia ludności opracowane na podstawie materiałów archiwalnych i literatury przedmiotu.
