O (poza)słowotwórczym charakterze wartościowania. Próba analizy wartościujących negatywnie neologicznych derywatów prostych — na materiale Obserwatorium Językowego UW

Abstract

The aim of the paper is to analyze derivatives which carry negative values and are recorded in Polish neologisms’ dictionary of the Language Observatory of the University of Warsaw. The author points out the difficulties related to the closure of the set of derivatives analyzed (the problem of defining the boundaries of simple derivative class and evaluative unit class) and the interpretation of individual derivatives and their groups. They analyze the set in quantitative terms (such as parts of speech represented by derivatives, derivational techniques, affixes, semantic types of derivatives according to a suffix function). They distinguish groups of valuation derivatives. They try to answer the question whether valuation can actually have an intra-word-formation character, or whether it is independent of the word-formation process.

Celem artykułu jest analiza derywatów prostych wartościujących negatywnie odnotowanych w słowniku neologizmów polskich Obserwatorium Językowego UW. Autor wskazuje na trudności związane z ograniczeniem materiału (problemy z wyznaczeniem granic klasy derywatów prostych i jednostek wartościujących), interpretacją poszczególnych derywatów i ich grup. Analizuje także zbiór pod względem ilościowym (ze względu na części mowy reprezentowane przez derywaty, zastosowane techniki derywacyjne, afiksy, semantyczne typy derywatów w zależności od funkcji formantów). Odnosi się również do wartościowania: wyróżnia grupy derywatów wartościujących. Próbuje odpowiedzieć na pytanie, czy wartościowanie rzeczywiście może mieć charakter słowotwórczy, czy też raczej jest niezależne od procesu słowotwórczego.
