Krytyk a recenzent – synonimy czy specjalistyczne terminy? Przegląd słownikowy

Abstract

Artykuł stanowi przegląd słownikowych definicji terminów „krytyka” i „recenzja” (oraz ich pochodnych) na przestrzeni wieków. Jego celem jest ustalenie, czy pojęcia te można stosować zamiennie, czy też są to terminy odmienne, określające inny system oceny tekstu kultury. W kręgu rozważań prowadzonych w artykule znajduje się też pytanie dotyczące docelowych grup odbiorców krytyków i recenzentów.

This article reviews dictionary definitions of the terms "criticism" and "review" (and their derivatives) over the centuries. Its purpose is to determine whether these terms can be used interchangeably, or whether they are different, defining a different system of evaluating a cultural text. In the circle of considerations carried out in the article there is also a question concerning the target audience of critics and reviewers.
