Utwory dramatyczne – komedie i dramy

Abstract

The publication constitutes a critical edition complemented with an introduction to the three comedies and two dramas by Wincenty Ignacy Marewicz (1755–1822) – a poet, prose writer, publicist, playwright and actor. It is the first modern edition of these dramatic works since their first publication in the late 18-th century. The introduction focuses on the publications and theatrical performances of the edited dramas, the author's inscriptions included in them. It also presents the main themes and subjects of these works, and highlights their theatrical and moral values. The editorial part of the study includes comedy and drama texts as well as commentaries. This is a subsequent book published as a result of research covered by an individual grant from the National Science Center in Krakow. Critical editions with an introduction to works in verse and prose by W.I. Marewicz.

Publikacja stanowi edycję krytyczną ze wstępem trzech komedii i dwóch dram Wincentego Ignacego Marewicza (1755–1822) – poety, prozaika, publicysty, dramatopisarza i aktora. Jest to pierwsze nowoczesne wydanie tych utworów dramatycznych od czasu ukazania się ich w druku pod koniec XVIII w. We wprowadzeniu do lektury skupiono się na losach wydawniczych i teatralnych edytowanych dramatów, zamieszczonych w nich dedykacjach autora, zaprezentowano występujące w utworach główne tematy, wątki i motywy, a także naświetlono ich walory sceniczne i moralne. Część stricte edytorska opracowania zawiera teksty komedii i dram oraz komentarze. Niniejsza edycja jest kolejną publikacją książkową będącą wynikiem badań objętych indywidualnym grantem Narodowego Centrum Nauki w Krakowie Edycje krytyczne ze wstępem dzieł wierszem i prozą W.I.
