The study deals with the subject of Polish gay & lesbian literature in relation to the canon of literature and the literary tradition. My aim is to define the term of æcanon' and analyse the reasons of the discrimination homosexual literature. Different interpretations of stereotypes and various theories of homosexual language are also considered in the study. Gender studies, especially gay & lesbian studies and queer theory are the most important methodological context of the study. References to the intertextual theory will be mentioned too. The analysis refers to the contemporary Polish prose written by such authors as: Izabela Filipiak, Michał Witkowski, Bartosz Żurawiecki, Michał Zygmunt and Grzegorz Musiał. Bibliographical basis of the study contains the works of e.g. Inga Iwasiów, Bartosz Warkocki, German Ritz and Roberto Ferro.pl_PL
