dc.description.abstract | In times of crisis of educational values the idea of Olympism, together with the principle of fair play is perceived by many supporters as one of the most effective forms of education, which should find a prominent place in the contemporary mainstream of pedagogy. Olympism presenting humanistic values became the basis of physical culture and sport, giving them a high social rank. This idea provided the basis for the concept of Olympic education, which is implemented in two directions, firstly as the preparation for the Olympic Games, and secondly as educational and tutorial element manifested through the implementation of many projects to promote ideas of universal and humanistic values. Moving Olympic values of humanistic values to educational systems raises the prospect of a long-lasting relationship of physical education with contemporary educational thought and their participation in all areas of culture, including physical education. | pl_PL |
