Ikona w służbie literatury? Co robią obrazy Goi w Saturnie Jacka Dehnela

Abstract

Artykuł podejmuje temat współwystępowania dwóch kodów (sztuk) w obrębie jednego utworu literackiego – powieści Saturn Jacka Dehnela będącej swoistym apokryfem biografii Francisca Goi. W części pierwszej opisane zostają relacje głównych bohaterów, które silnie wiążą się z malarstwem (sztuka jako temat utworu). Autorka sięga do teorii Harolda Blooma i Sigmunda Freuda. Cześć druga dotyczy fragmentów będących rodzajem ekphrasis i towarzyszących im reprodukcjom obrazów Goi. Podstawowym tematem artykułu jest refleksja na temat ekphrasis i ikon znajdujących się w powieści, a także ich wzajemnych relacji i związków z tekstem głównym powieści.

The article concerns coexistence of two codes (arts) in one literary work – Jacek Dehnel’s novel Saturn. It is a specific type of Francisco Goya’s apocryphal biographies. In first part I describe relations between the main characters, related with painting (art as a subject of novel). I use Harold Bloom’s and Sigmund Freud’s theories. Second part concerns fragments, which are a type of ekphrasis and reproductions of paintings by Goya. Main subject of article is reflection about ekphrasis and icons in the novel – relationship between them and main text of the novel.
