Agriculture plays an important role both in generation of the CDP and in labour employment in the majority of Arab countries, and especially those deprived of raw materials with strategic importance for the international economy. That is a characteristic feature not only of this group of countries but also of most other developing countries. It is due to the fact that a significant share of total labour in agriculture ia not a result of developmental needs but rather one of symptoms of their backward economic structures, or more precisely, shortage of jobs in the secondary sector i.e. in industry and construction. The article analyzes the share of agriculture in employment and generation of the CDP, as well as measures to be adopted in order to utilize better the human factor in this economic sector. There is also discussed the impact of modem production technique on employment and agricultural production.pl_PL
