In the Polish political tradition rusticity has been playing a significant role since the medieval times. At the very beginnings power in Poland assembled attributes of rusticity. Piast Kołodziej legitimized a dynasty ruling the medieval Poland and attributed a folk character to it. This was also the case in the subsequent dramatic and critical moments in the history of Poland. It is difficult to talk today about a strong, separate, relatively homogenous as before, election segment in the Polish country. What decides about election preferences among the representatives of this environment are other reasons than merely living in a smaller locality. It is undoubtedly a positive fact that confirms that especially a young inhabitant of the Polish country is a modern man who has contacts with a broader environment and has specific knowledge about the world and their own attitude to its problems. These factors must be taken into consideration by politicians and their advisors while planning an election strategy and conducting a proper segmentation of a political market.pl_PL
