Kształcenie kadr w łódzkim szkolnictwie wyższym
Abstract
The article deals with an analysis of development and changes in the higher
education institutions in Łódi in the years 1945-1989. The analysis concerned
size, structure of education according to higher education institutions, specializations,
and forms of education. The obtained results point at declining
enrolment in the higher education in Łódź and in the number of graduates, progressive
feminization in the population of students and graduates, and increasingly
more unfavourable socio-professional structure of students. On the
other hand, a positive phenomenon is a change in the structure of students' education
according to faculties finding expression in a bigger number of students
studying the humanities in the overall number of students.
