| dc.description.abstract | The article provides a descriptive-analytical picture of mass transit system in the administrative province of Lodz. Detailed analysis encompassed the system of transport in Lodz and suburban areas organically linked with the town. The studies cover a period of 1970—1980.
The applied comparative analysis concerns both spatial structure of mass transit system and the structure of its transport facilities. The final part of the article outlines these problems which should receive utmost
