Abstract

This review article offers an in-depth analysis and discussion of Hanna Dymel- Trzebiatowska’s (2024) Przechadzki po Dolinie Muminków. Perspektywa filozofic- zno-literacka [Strolls through Moominvalley: A Philosophical–Literary Perspec- tive], one of the most significant recent contributions to international Moomin studies. The author highlights the interdisciplinary and analytically sophisticated character of the monograph, which combines literary, philosophical, psychologi- cal, sociological, gender-oriented, and ecocritical approaches. Dymel-Trzebiatows- ka reveals the multifaceted nature of Tove Jansson’s fictional universe, addressing iconotextual relations, artistic evolution, symbolic representations, and complex portrayals of characters and motifs. The reviewed book also offers pioneering in- sights into ageism, ecological catastrophe, and the contemporary political potential of Moomin narratives.
