Profesor Czesław Domański– życiorys naukowy

Abstract

In 2013 we celebrate the 45th anniversary of professor Czesław Domański’s academic work. The paper presents all fields of his academic career, including research, teaching, administration and activities outside the university. Professor Domański is the author or coauthor of almost 200 articles and 22 books in the field of mathematical statistics, financial statistics and risk theory. He acted as supervisor of numerous doctoral dissertations and master theses. Since the very beginning of his academic work he was connected with Lodz University, where he held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Economics and then the position of Vice-rector. He was awarded many prestigious prizes, distinctions and recognitions.
