Streszczenie
In the Rigveda’s hymns the gods of heaven and earth are invoked at the same time. The
connection of heaven and earth as an inseparable pair very likely is the result of syncretism
of pastoral patriarchal religion· with agricultural matriarchal warship. Originally in Indo-European
religions the goddess of earth did not occur as the partner of the god of heaven.
