Драматический памфлет, егo истоки и эволюция
Streszczenie
Dramatic pamphlet is genre modification which appeared as a result of
intergeneric integration of literary forms. Its specifics is not yet investigated,
although dramatic pamphlet has already its history.
It originated in English literature in the Age of Enlightenment; John Gay
and Henry Fielding were the founders of the form. The romantic and the i9th-
-century realistic drama did not accept the dramatic pamphlet and the
form has revived in the period between two World Wars. Some *extravagant"
plays by Bernard Shaw and some antifascist works of Bertold Brecht (Die
Rundkópfje und die Spitzkópfe, Furcht und Elend des III Reiches, Der
aufhaltsame Aufstieg des Arturo Uż) are the most outstanding pamphlets of
that time. Since 1960-s, after R. Hochhuth's drama's The Deputy (Der Stellvertreter)
great success, a new period of the form's popularity began in FRG (BRD)
and some other European countries.
The dramatic pamphlet has all the distinctive marks of the non-dramatic
pamphlet; the satirical colouring, the political trend of the satire, the definiteness
of the object of satire, the burning topicality etc. The content peculiarity of the
modification determine maximal expressiveness of style and laconicism. Besides,
the dramatic pamphlet is planned and written for the stage and therefore it is
in the zone of contacts with other dramatic genres and genre modifications. The
synthetic character of the form is analised in the essay.
