Streszczenie
This article focuses on the issue of a personnel audit which can be used as a tool for increasing the effectiveness of HRM. Firstly, the notion of personnel audit as an element of the internal audit is described, then attention is drawn to such areas as: rules for the application of this instrument, scope of personnel audit, as well as audit procedures and methods. Finally, the article underlines possibility of increasing HR effectiveness through personnel audit and indicates a significant impact of the audit as a HR tool on organizational effectiveness. In consequence, some main areas which need more intensive attention and some benefits being the consequence of which are pointed out.
