Streszczenie
The paper presents the rank given to employee participation in modern concepts of people management. It refers to the Human Resources Management concept and High Performance Work Systems model. It paved the way to an attempt at specification of these types and forms of participation whose increased application in business practice will lead to better effectiveness of the organization. It was assumed that such approach will contribute to greater applicability of people management concepts created in theory. The discussion was extended with a presentation of different symptoms of granting employees with a right to participation, identified in the business practice of 28 organizations situated in the Lower Silesia and the surrounding area.
