Abstract

The article is devoted to the problematics of environmental impact assessment which is one of the crucial instruments used in the process of integration of environmental protection into other policies and contributes to the implementation of the concept of sustainable development. The work concerns Polish regulations in this field and focuses mainly on the role of the local self-government bodies therein and their capacity of determining specific conditions for the investment implementation and influencing the scope of its realization.
