Zróżnicowanie efektów dochodowych z tytułu dotowania cen żywności w przekroju różnych grup ludności

Abstract

The article presents the findings of empirical studies on redistributive effects of food subsidies in the years 1982-1986. Their aim was to answer the question whether these effects are an effective instrument of the socio-welfare policy in the field of redistribution of the population’s incomes. The obtained results point at antiegalitarian impact of the welfare prices policy, which makes it necessary to elaborate a programme of abandoning a wide use of these price in the income policy and in realization of socio-welfare goals. The article ends with an attempt to outline some elements of such a programme.
