Streszczenie
The article presents development of the so-called strategic thinking within the framework of market oriented management of an enterprise and the difference between.it an the operational or dispositional thinking. It discusses gradual changes in the thinking through market categories in the past years till the moment the concept of strategic marketing appeared. The author gives an in sight into a specific nature of the strategic thinking, and shows in this connection results of such way of thinking, i. e. strategies as thinking categories. The article ends with an attempt to determine consequences ensuing from it for management education also at universities.
