| dc.description.abstract | We współczesnej psychologii odnajdujemy tezę, że etap późnej dorosłości jest jednym z etapów rozwoju człowieka, pod warunkiem zapewnienia odpowiedniej jakości życia. Część negatywnych efektów starzenia się można kompensować poprzez kształtowanie tzw. Środowiska terapeutycznego, które pozwoli stworzyć warunki aktywizacji osób starszych w kierunku zachowań prozdrowotnych. Artykuł prezentuje najbardziej istotne zagadnienia w projektowaniu przestrzeni oddziału geriatrycznego, która jest przeznaczona w sposób szczególny dla starszemu pacjentowi. Współczesną tendencją w kształtowaniu architektury obiektów opieki zdrowotnej jest odchodzenie od instytucjonalizacji szpitalnictwa oraz przyjęcie potrzeb pacjenta jako podstawowych wytycznych do projektowania (patient-centred design). Stan badań w zakresie środowiska fizycznego szpitali daje podstawę do zwiększenia roli rozwiązań architektonicznych korzystnie wpływających na stan psychofizyczny pacjenta w procesie leczenia. | pl_PL |
| dc.description.abstract | Modern psychology poses a thesis that the aging process does not exclude the possibility of development as long as adequate quality of life is provided. Some of the negative effects of aging can be controlled by creating the so-called therapeutic environment which makes it possible to create pro-health behaviour conditions. The main characteristics of the therapeutic environment is its transparency and habitability. In the article the most significant issues in geriatric ward design are presented, those which allows to support the functional activity of elderly patients. In contemporary healthcare architecture the tendency of breaking the institutionalization of hospitals are observed, moreover, the needs of patients are the basis for design as patientcentred design. State of art related to healing environment gives the basis for increasing the role of architectural solutions, which give positive support to the patient’s psychosocial condition in treatment process. | pl_PL |
