Abstract

Synchronous and diachronic research approaches regarding components of naming toponymy (toponyms, microtoponyms, urbanonyms, oronyms, hydronyms) allow you to reveal the dynamics of diverse name-forming phenomena at local, regional and interregional language communities of pure or mixed ethnic character. The cumulative methodological approach to study of properties of names in this category must include the following research perspectives: categorical-subjective (from the point of view of theoretical onomastics), cultural-cognitive (from the point of view of cultural onomastics), confrontative (from the point of view of comparative onomastics), and communicative-pragmatic (from the point of view of socioonomastics and pragmatic onomastics).
