Sprawność zarządzania rozwojem terytorium w polskich uwarunkowaniach
Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present approach towards management of development
processes of territories. Very important aspect of this approach is that territory is not
perceived as a space delimited by administrative boundaries. In Poland, concepts of
socio-economic development are dominated by regional approach, related to intra- and
interregional policy.
However, the outcome of numerous analyses conduced in spatial dimensions, show
that the concentration of development processes do not take place with the same intensity
in regional space. It also proves that development activity overstep administrative
borders. Therefore the question is whether policy-makers and public authorities perceive
necessity to strengthen such a territory, characterized by accumulation of dynamic
development processes in context of administrative region or country.
The paper focuses on presenting what kind of territories of an increased activity
can be pointed out in Polish dimension and whether they will be given a proper attention
as a subject of the development policies.
