| dc.description.abstract | The article analyses the issue of the pension insurance system, which is extremely topical
and important in Poland. Moreover, it describes main characteristics of pension insurance
systems in highly developed countries of Western Europe and directions of their evolution.
Assessing the development of pension insurance in Poland has revealed the presence of
