Odnawianie znaczeń. Strategie czytania literatury polskiego renesansu i baroku

Abstract

Niniejszy artykuł dotyczy metodologii czytania literatury polskiego renesansu i baroku. W szkicu tym interesują mnie przede wszystkim te strategie badawcze, które w pełni są uświadamiane i artykułowane w literaturze przedmiotowej od lat 90-tych ubiegłego stulecia i które są zarazem próbą przewartościowania istniejących już narzędzi czytania literatury staropolskiej. Pomimo istnienia ważnych prac, które coraz mocniej problematyzują sam namysł nad metodami interpretacji literatury XVI i XVII, to jednak wydaje się, że dialog z nowoczesnymi paradygmatami postrzegania tekstów literackich nie stanowi zasadniczego nurtu w podejmowanych interpretacyjnych zabiegach. Dzięki przemianom dyskursu humanistycznego (np. poststrukturalizm, feminizm, gender studies, postkolonializm, antropologia literatury) wciąż można i należy ponawiać pytanie o literaturę staropolską, jej miejsce w horyzoncie zagadnień i problemów, jakie formułuje współczesna teoria.

This article is devoted to the methodology of reading Polish Renaissance and Ba- roque literature. In my essay, I am interested mainly in the research strategies that are fully conscious and articulated in the literature since the 1990s, and which are also an attempt to re-evaluate the existing tools for reading old Polish literature. Although there are important works that place more emphasis on the very act of reflection on the methods of interpretation of the sixteenth and seventeenth century literature, it seems that a dialogue with contemporary paradigms of the perception of literary texts is not a fundamental practice in interpretation projects. With the transitions in the humanist discourse (such as post-structuralism, femi- nism, gender studies, post-colonialism, anthropology of literature), we still can and should repeat the question of the Old Polish literature and its place in the horizon of the issues and problems formulated by the contemporary theory.
