Abstract
The main goal of the paper is to provide some general framework for cross-cultural determinants that should be taken into account when measuring human resources management (HRM) effectiveness and efficiency in multinational companies (MNC). The cultural determinants are discussed with reference to the continental models of HRM as well as with regard to company strategies. The author presents such continental models of HRM as: European, American, Asian, and African. As about the company’s strategies both business strategies and associated with them HRM strategies at corporate and local level of MNC are covered.
