Abstract

The Article, The New Look at the Sword from Tur, District Poddębice brings us closer to the issue of construction of typology and chronology of the single-edge sword. Archaeological interpretation of the indicative features that were previously unnoticed, allowed us to perform a successful reconstruction of the earlier appearance of this sword. Re-analysis of the attributes of the find allowed to broaden the knowledge about the armament of the Przeworsk culture and its archaeological sites.

Artykuł Nowe spojrzenie na miecz z Turu, pow. poddębicki przybliża kwestię konstrukcji, typologizacji i chronologii miecza jednosiecznego. Interpretacja materiału zabytkowego pozwoliła na wskazanie wcześniej niezauważonych cech broni, co umożliwiło także jej rekonstrukcję. Ponowne opracowanie zabytku poszerza naszą wiedzę zarówno o uzbrojeniu kultury przeworskiej, jak i o samym stanowisku.
