Майсторът и инфантът в Балада за Георг Хених oт Виктор Пасков
Streszczenie
Among Victor Pascov’s literary works the long short story The Ballad of Georg Henich has its special place which is primarily determined by its unconventional poetics. This provides the impetus for setting out to analyse this significant literary text with the aim of comparing the parameters of the anthropological and the transcendental. To this purpose the space and time co-ordinates in the literary work are analysed in their immediate relationship to the literary characters which the Bulgarian writer construes in the unusual circumstances of their lives. The postmodern elements in the structure of the analysed text are discussed in the context of Victor Pascov’s piling up of personal experience. Without leaving the sphere of literary discourse the author of this study resorts to sources of social and psychological phenomena accounting for the wealth of meaning of the represented world created by the author of The Ballad of Georg Henich. In order to outline the complexity of relationships in the individual worlds of the characters the prominence of the first person narrative has also been a subject of this study. Each of the characters is a carrier of a definite narrative perspective in the book. The observations made and the suggested conclusions which they generate, serve as a basis for establishing the conflict between the triteness of the everyday routine and the sublimity of human aspirations Their artistic outcome includes the impressive grotesque details of the images which demythologize the sham moral values of the real world so as to offer possibilities of choice.
