Когнитивный потенциал речевых средств художественного изображения

Abstract

Two main problems are accented in the article: 1) cognitive ability of poetical art, and 2) language structure of fundamental figurative means - metaphor and matonymy. These problems are analysed against a background of others research problems - correlation of sensitive and rational spheres of subject and correlation of image-bearing denotative components and concept-hierarchical components in structure of metaphor and metonymy. The article presents an attempt to define more exactly the language function of mataphor and metonymy.
