Streszczenie
This chapter presents the evolution of the EU law which concerns the employee involvement
in the decision-making process in the undertakings or the groups of undertakings.
The starting point is the observation that the different EU directives concerning
the right of employees to information and consultation vary in many aspects, i.a.
as to the scope of competencies and the modalities of the fulfillment of the employers’
duties. The author analyses the ways and methods to improve the EU law on employee
involvement in order to assure the coherence between various legal acts and to increase
the level of protection of the employees’ rights respecting at the same time the justified
interests of the employers
