Abstract

Spatial politicy of self governments is an important factor in the development of communities. However, it leads to a number of economic consequences, which, due to the existing legal conditions are not duly respected by these authorities. In longer term, such a policy can result in serious financial problems of municipalities that enacted more local spatial development plans than their budgetary possibilities. This situation requires rapid and profound changes in the system of spatial planning.
