Streszczenie
Travelling to services is one of the key determinants affecting the actual relations within metropolitan areas. By analysing the size and the type of this kind of movements, in the light of accessibility to the tertiary sector in small towns, the author tries to identify the factors influencing the character of these travels and their consequences. In combination with other types of spatial relations between the metropolis and its surrounding, the discussed topic is a part of a wider research project, focusing on determining the level of territorial cohesion in the Lodz Metropolitan Area.
