dc.description.abstract	The objective of this paper is to present the research methods that could be applied in contrastive ethnolinguistic studies focused on finding elements that would prove the influence of national culture on news texts produced in a given cultural and linguistic environment. The discussion concerns mostly linguistic methods: Fowler’s semantic and syntactic analysis, van Dijk’s analysis of thematic and schematic structure, Bell’s analysis of discourse structure of press news, Critical Discourse Analysis, contrastive studies and Żydek-Bednarczuk’s linguistic analysis of texts. Additionally, a method with traditions in media studies, i.e. content analysis is also included in the discussion. We conclude with the description of the chosen research method, justification of the author’s choice and an example of putting the theory into practice.	pl_PL
