| dc.description.abstract | The article discusses the basis for development of spa and recreational functions in
Uniejów. The town has favourable natural (geothermal water, climate) and historical
conditions (medieval town center). Currently, in connection with the above-mentioned
assets, a new morphological unit intended for leasure activities is developing in the left-
bank part of Uniejów. Maintaining the balance in the development of the emerging left-
bank section and the right-bank (of medieval origin) section of Uniejów seems to be
the right path to ensuring sustainable growth of the town. The spatial policy and spatial
planning of Uniejów should be oriented to promoting the development of both parts of the
