Whole work is based on idea of connection concept, which was created to describe behavior of states, with demonstrating the potential of European Union after its key reform. Beside this, the most important aspects of this study was to analyze the potential and risks of EU international activity. The common denominator was to apply theory of soft power, outlined by Joseph Nye. The main goal was to trace the behavior of Union and to diagnose it’s role in the current international relations. It’s important to underline, that the main object of the research is the EU as a fully-fledged organization, which is ensured by articles of the Treaty of Lisbon. These internal changes should have created new opportunities to influence on others in the way, that we could call them soft power. Moreover, there is a problem in defining process of decision-making in EU international politics, along with the describing organization as a real diplomatic actor.pl_PL
