| dc.description.abstract | The aim of the article is to investigate a relatively unknown
sports event in Poland – Francophonie Games. It will
be analyzed from the perspective of its diplomatic influence
on the closeness between France and its former colonies within
positive sports diplomacy.
In the research, an attempt to verify a hypothesis stating
that the Francophonie Games serve as a tool of holding French
and partly Canadian influence in developing countries that
used to belong to the French colonial empire will be made.

wydarzenia sportowego, jakim są Igrzyska Frankofońskie.
Będzie ono przeanalizowane z perspektywy jego dyplomatycznego
wpływu na bliskość pomiędzy Francją a dawnymi państwami
kolonialnymi w ramach pozytywnej dyplomacji sportowej.
W badaniu stanowiące studium przypadku podjęta została
próba weryfikacji hipotezy, zgodnie z którą Igrzyska Frankofońskie
stanowią narzędzie utrzymywania francuskich
i częściowo kanadyjskich wpływów w rozwijających się państwach,
które należały niegdyś do francuskiego imperium
