He has based this definition on the concentration of tourist, and then isolated seven types of functional tourist region.; Po omówieniu dotychczasowego dorobku naukowego w zakresie pojęcia i delimitacji regionu turystycznego, autor zaproponował własną, oryginalną definicję regionu jako przedmiotu poznania. Podstawą tej definicji uczynił autor koncentrację ruchu turystycznego, a następnie wydzielił siedem typów funkcjonalnego regionu turystycznego.
