Conversations with Representatives of Culture, Science and Art” has been running under the patronage of the Rector of the University of Lodz. The series is a form of culture animation and popularization of science. The meetings are addressed primarily to the academic community, as well as to cultural activists, artists, employees and entrepreneurs of the creative industries and all those interested in culture, science and the arts in general. The purpose of the text is to describe the idea, formula, goals and origins of the project, as well as to indicate the target group and guests of the meetings.; Od stycznia 2023 r. realizowany jest projekt pt. „Obiecane inspiracje. Cykl stanowi formę animacji kultury i popularyzacji nauki, a spotkania kierowane są przede wszystkim do społeczności akademickiej, a także działaczy kulturalnych, artystów, pracowników i przedsiębiorców przemysłów kreatywnych oraz wszystkich osób ogólnie zainteresowanych kulturą, nauką i sztuką. Psychologiczne inhibitory samorealizacji Janiszewska, Agnieszka In the article, I refer to selected definitions and theories of self-realization in the area of pedagogy and psychology (especially positive psychology). I also mention several theories of human needs, which include the need for self-realization as a separate category. Then, I compile the inhibitors of the self-realization process proposed by the representatives of the aforementioned disciplines (specifically Abraham Maslow) or analyzed by modern researchers-psychologists, i.e.: the impostor syndrome, the Jonah complex, tall poppy syndrome, crab mentality. The described inhibitors are mainly relevant to the area of interpersonal interactions and might appear within social groups, e.g. in the workplace environment.; W artykule przywołuję wybrane definicje i teorie samorealizacji z obszaru pedagogiki i psychologii (zwłaszcza psychologii pozytywnej). Odwołuję się też do kilku teorii potrzeb, które zawierają jako osobną kategorię potrzebę samorealizacji. Następnie dokonuję kompilacji zaproponowanych przez przedstawicieli wspomnianych dyscyplin (zwłaszcza Abrahama Maslowa) lub analizowanych przez współczesnych badaczy-psychologów inhibitorów procesu samorealizacji, takich jak: syndrom oszusta, kompleks Jonasza, syndrom wysokiego maku, mentalność kraba. These figures are Temple Grandin and John Nash. Their stories have also inspired the filmmakers of two films which have already become part of the cinematic canon and won multiple accolades, including awards for the main actors who created brilliant portraits of the neurodivergent geniuses. The hermeneutical analysis of these motion pictures is aimed at showing the specific ways in which the prodigious savants function, with particular focus on the role played by the closest social environment in creating conditions beneficial for the development of their special talents.; Głównym celem artykułu jest przedstawienie dwóch sylwetek sawantów, będących z jednej strony osobistościami świata nauki, a z drugiej osobami borykającymi się z zaburzeniami neurorozwojowymi i schizofrenią. Są to postaci Temple Grandin i Johna Nasha. Stały się one również inspiracją dla twórców dwóch filmów fabularnych, które weszły już do kanonu kinematografii, były też wielokrotnie nagradzane, także za kreacje protagonistów, doskonale portretując nie-neurotypowych geniuszy.
