<title>Zdrowa rodzina adopcyjna – to znaczy jaka?</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/4612</link>
<description>Zdrowa rodzina adopcyjna – to znaczy jaka?
Posłuszna-Owczarz, Maria
On the one hand, adoptive family is an alternative for married couples who are not able to have&#13;
progeny, on the other hand, it is an alternative for social orphans to have proper family. So as well&#13;
as fulfilling a lot of functions of biological families, adoptive families also compensate for social&#13;
orphanhood. Only a healthy family can face such a responsible task. According to modern psychology, pedagogics and sociology, family is a small social group, a community which follows certain&#13;
 rules. A healthy family is a functional family, which makes every one of its members happy and&#13;
 gives them possibility to fulfill their needs. There are all sorts of difficulties, failures and arguments&#13;
 in such a family, however, mutual relationships and the potential of its particular members motivates to look for satisfying solutions for every one of them. So, what should characterize a healthy&#13;
 adoptive family, what inner-family factors and outer conditions might disturb its functioning. These&#13;
 questions need to be tried and answered already in the diagnosing and preparation period for the&#13;
 adoptive parents candidates. It is also important to prepare a child (depending on age), because both&#13;
 the child and its future parents bring to the newly created adoptive family their genetic heritage,&#13;
 health condition, previous experiences and life plans, hopes, value, skills, mutual relations, ways to&#13;
 communicate and deal with difficulties and so on. Final court decision on adoption should not be the&#13;
 end, but the beginning of post-adoptive work with the new family, in order to strengthen its proper&#13;
 and healthy functioning.

<title>Rodzaj i poziom wsparcia społecznego a poziom depresji i style radzenia sobie u studentów narodowości polskiej uczelni zagranicznych</title>

<description>Rodzaj i poziom wsparcia społecznego a poziom depresji i style radzenia sobie u studentów narodowości polskiej uczelni zagranicznych
Godek, Anna
This paper is an attempt to answer the question on the role of the social support in the process of&#13;
coping with stress within a group of Polish students in an acculturative stress situation. The research&#13;
had two primary goals. The first goal was to show the differences between students of Polish nationality enrolled at foreign universities and students of Polish universities in terms of social support, coping with stress and the depression level. The second goal was to examine relations between those three&#13;
 variables. In order to select groups with high and low social support the scale of social support by&#13;
 Kmiecik-Baran has been used. In order to define styles of coping with stress, preferred by the cured&#13;
 drug addicts, the Polish version of The Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations has been used. Both&#13;
 groups responded to the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), consisting of a self-evaluated scale of&#13;
 21 items, each with four assertions corresponding to increasing levels of depressive symptoms. The obtained results indicate that students of Polish universities were characterized by a lower level of social&#13;
 support and they reported higher levels of depression than the control group of Polish students living&#13;
 abroad. The groups did not differ significantly with respect to the measures of coping styles. According&#13;
 to the results of the study, the stronger preference for the emotion-oriented coping style, the higher&#13;
 level of depression, which indicates that this coping style was ineffective in dealing with stressful life&#13;
 events in both groups of students. In addition, the level of received social support was negatively correlated (r = –0,589) with the task-oriented coping style in a group of students in Poland.

<description>Rola orientacji temporalnej na teraźniejszość w wyjaśnianiu preferowanej strategii seksualnej
Zdybek, Przemysław
This paper presents two researches conducted to verify the hypothesis that present temporal&#13;
 orientation is significant variable in describing human preferences of sexual strategies. First survey&#13;
 was conducted using as a independent variable two scales measuring temporal orientation: Carpe&#13;
 Diem (Sobol &amp; Oleś, 2002), AION (Bajcar &amp; Nosal, 2004), as a dependent variable was taken preferred sexual strategies measured by Sociosexsual Orientation Inventory (Simpson &amp; Gangestad,&#13;
 1991). Comparing participants with high rate of present temporal orientation vs low rate of present&#13;
 temporal orientation shows statistically significant differences in Sociosexuality Orientation Scale.&#13;
 Second research confirm hypothesis that participants declaring being sexoholic have higher rate&#13;
 of temporal concentration on presence measured by ZPTI (Zimbardo &amp; Boyd, 2009).

Stress in the workplace, personal resources and professional burnout concern many workers in&#13;
 the contemporary world. These are common problems also among two groups of musicians: teaching musician and non-teaching musicians. The purpose of the study was to establish the dependence&#13;
 between occupational stress and burnout syndrome in these groups. The studied groups consisted&#13;
 of 94 musicians.&#13;
	The Perceived Job Stress Questionnaire, Maslach Burnout Inventory, Generalized Self-&#13;
Efficacy Scale, The Resiliency Assessment Scale were used in this study. The data obtained revealed significant differentiation in a level of stress in the workplace among teaching musicians and non-&#13;
teaching musicians.&#13;
	Teaching musicians differs in comparison with non-teaching musicians in general level of&#13;
 stress and four its factors: psychical balance of work, lack of rewards, social contacts and uncertainty at work. The data obtained revealed significant intensity of stress feeling at work in evaluated&#13;
 group. However, there are no significant differences in personal resources.&#13;
	To conclude: higher intensity of occupational stress is connected with the greater intensification of burnout syndrome and lower intensification of sense of personal achievements in investigated group of teaching musicians.
