Formowanie się księgozbiorów i bibliotek dla dzieci w II połowie XIX i początku XX wieku na przykładzie Łodzi
Konieczna, Jadwiga
The aim of this dissertation was to present the trends and forms of development
of information about books and literature for children in 19th and the beginning
of 20th century on Polish territory. The author took into consideration different conditions:
pedagogical, cultural and socio-political. Throughout the whole period magazines
publishing book reviews and bibliographic specifications and also publishing houses
and booksellers with their announcements and advertisements played a significant role
in creation of the information about books for children. As the years went on and with
the development of publishing market the system of information was extended by
different sorts of folders, publishers’ and bookshops’ catalogues and printed librarian
catalogues. On the turn of the centuries reference catalogues (of a hand-book character)
became popular. Their aim was to shape the reading habit among children and youth.

Przemiany formy graficznej książki dziecięco-młodzieżowej w ii połowie xx wieku na przykładzie wybranych publikacji Ewy Nowackiej
Chylak, Justyna
The aim of the article is to analyze the changes in graphic design of the
children and the youth’s books on the Polish publishing market during the last decades.
Two periods can be distinguished here. The first one before 1989, when Polish
publishing market was monopolized, but it really took care of the book`s graphic design
(a high level of the Polish School of Illustration). Afterwards, many of the new
publishers only took care of the book’s cover which is crucial to its success.
The author presents this issue by giving the examples from Ewa Nowacka’s
writings – the writer who has been publishing her books since 1967. The article
is supplemented with information about Ewa Nowacka`s biography and her literary,
review and journalist output.

Literatura dla dzieci i młodzieży a oferta współczesnych wydawnictw w Bułgarii
Kristanova, Evelina
The author presents a short history of Bulgarian children’s literature and the most
important poets and writers and their books, for example Iwan Wazow, Elin Pelin,
Ran Bosiłek and Angeł Karaliiczew. In the second part Evelina Kristanova writes about
contemporary publishing houses in Bulgaria editing books for children like Publishing
House Egmont, Publishing House PAN, Publishing House Fjut, Public Publishing
House Prosweta, Gold Duck, Chermes and Bard etc. The conclusion is that there are
two types of publishers, these specialised only in children’s literature and these also
publishing books for adults. The author analyses their market offers for children
available on the Internet pages. In result E. Kristanova proves that they are many books
of the most known Bulgarian writers for children on them. One of the most popular
writers is for the years Angeł Karaliiczew.
