Non-production sphere as a result of the socialization process. 2. Immaterial sphere versus intensification of the social reproduction. 3. Effectiveness of the immaterial sphere. In the first part of the article the autor points at the importance of the immaterial sphere in the social ist economy, which, on one hand, determines working and living conditions of professionally active people while, on the other hand, it leads in directly to growth of the national income. The second part of the article deal swith analys is of development of the non-production sphere, which is still of ten of extensive character, supported by figures taken from the GDR’s experience. Against this background the author discusses feasibility of intensification of the immaterial sphere development to proceed next to description of the impact exerted by the immaterial sphere on intensification of the material production (in direct and direct impact). Finally, the third part of the article contains some remarks on effectiveness of there production process in the immaterial sphere from the view point of intensification of this process. The analysis was based on the process of formation of a selected group of socio-economic features characterizing development of administrative provinces in 1977. Three methods were employed in it and namely: normalization method, application of spatial concentration coefficients in relation to the population size, and spatial concentration coefficients in relation to area units. Application of these methods produced three different classifications revealing the hierarchy of provinces according to the achieved development level. In each case there was observed a difference in charakter of the socio-economic development between the Warsaw Metropolitan Province and the Łódź Province. The first problem concerns the role played by the infrastructural development in the light of its influence on proportional development of a region. The infrastructure creating different functional and spatial systems should, to a large extent, pave the way for nonantagonistic directions of a region's development. The other problem reflects external and internal relations of a region's economy as a result of socio-economic processes occuring within it. These relations largely determine the character of the socio-economic structure in a given region. Often time they area source of tensions springing up with in the structure. Łodzi) Guraj-Kaczmarek, Kazimiera The analysis performed by the author aimed at compiling a list of factors determining professional stability of teachers. It was based on results of researches conducted among the teaching personnel in grammar schools of Łódź in 1970 and 1971. On the basis of aggregation inputs from the point of view of the average age there was compiled a list of potential stabilization factors. This list including: type of school, sex, marital status, and education was next verified by means of such standards of comparison as: 1) average number of years on the job, 2) fluctuation coefficients, 3) stabilization coefficients, 4) logical premises (the subregion was included as well). This operational lowed to approve of the full list of factors even though the oretical analysis was not always confinned in the studies.
