<title>The Impact of Sales Promotions on Consumer Buying Behaviour: A Comparative Analysis from the Pandemic to the Post-Pandemic Period</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/59567</link>
<description>The Impact of Sales Promotions on Consumer Buying Behaviour: A Comparative Analysis from the Pandemic to the Post-Pandemic Period
Huseynzade, Sadi
The COVID-19 pandemic represented a significant turning point in consumer behaviour, altering purchasing priorities, shopping habits, and responses to marketing activities. As businesses relied on sales promotions to stimulate demand during uncertainty, understanding how promotions influence buying behaviour became crucial. While sales promotions are widely studied, limited research has examined how their effectiveness evolved from the pandemic to the post-pandemic period, or how consumer responses differ across national contexts. This dissertation addresses these gaps by investigating the impact of sales promotions on consumer buying behaviour through a comparative analysis of consumers in Azerbaijan and Poland.&#13;
&#13;
The study establishes theoretical foundations of sales promotions and consumer decision-making, reviewing how the pandemic reshaped shopping patterns. Identifying research gaps concerning promotional attractiveness, exposure, frequency, impulse purchasing, and cross-cultural differences, the study develops a conceptual framework and hypotheses.&#13;
&#13;
Adopting a mixed-methods design, the research integrates quantitative and qualitative approaches to examine relationships between promotions and buying behaviour, changes across time periods, and differences between Azerbaijani and Polish consumers. The empirical chapters analyze perceived promotional attractiveness, buying behaviour, exposure, frequency, impulse purchasing, and preferred deal types across product categories and cultural contexts.&#13;
&#13;
The discussion integrates the findings and outlines theoretical, methodological, and practical contributions to consumer behaviour and marketing literature. Finally, the study acknowledges limitations such as its two-country focus and reliance on self-reported data, proposing directions for future research in dynamic markets.

<description>The role and functions of controllers in organization management
Kawczyńska, Marta; Wnuk-Pel, Tomasz
The main objective of this monograph is to determine on the basis of the survey the role of controllers in contemporary Polish companies. The study confirmed that same of the tasks performed by contemporary controllers in Polish companies are the same as those performed by their counterparts around the world although same differences were also identified. Comparing the current role of controllers in Polish organizations with their role in foreign companies can contribute to improving the controller’s image in the organizations, and change the attitude of other employees to management accountants. This may lead to better cooperation between individual departments and controllers, and therefore to the mare efficient functioning of the company.

<title>Zarządzanie międzynarodowe: Strategie i studia przypadków</title>

<description>Zarządzanie międzynarodowe: Strategie i studia przypadków
Analiza teoretyczna dotyczy problemów zarządzania przedsiębiorstwem międzynarodowym o charakterze poznawczym i utylitarnym.

<title>Liderki gospodarki społecznej. Studia przypadków</title>
<link>http://hdl.handle.net/11089/59331</link>
<description>Liderki gospodarki społecznej. Studia przypadków
Reichel, Janusz
The monograph is the result of the author's interest in the issues of the social economy and non-governmental organizations, which are often animators of the creation of social economy entities. This work focuses on women leaders running social economy entities, their management styles and, to some extent, business models. After preliminary remarks on the social economy itself and social cooperatives, attention was focused on women leaders, including in the context of the issue discussed in the literature of the characteristics of people in managerial positions and the management styles they present. The main part of the work is the presentation of the collected case studies. The study aimed to identify problems and challenges in managing a social economy entity by women, both in the context of relationships with clients and the environment, as well as staff management. Attention was paid to success factors, obstacles to the development of the organization, characteristics of women leaders and their self-esteem. The interviews focused on obtaining the personal opinion of women managing and/or founding a social enterprise and their history (herstory). First, a series of individual case studies based on material from interviews was presented, then they were synthesized as a multiple case study and, on this basis, final remarks were formulated.
