Statisticians are certain that many important dissertations in natural, technical and social&#13;
sciences as well as those concerning marketing, administration, industry and services are not understandable&#13;
for people unfamiliar with basic statistical ideas. The solution of these problems is&#13;
conditioned on the offering of more effective use of statistical logic. The individuals who have statistical knowledge and statistical positions have to be encouraged&#13;
to more effective work, which can be developed by active departments and associations. The&#13;
future has to be insured by attracting young people by promising profession, offering possibly best&#13;
studies and helping to gain proper status. Both the art and theory of statistics has to be broadened&#13;
which implies the necessity of finding a way to far reaching dissemination of newest research.&#13;
The endeavor to develop statistical capacities of all citizens may take on different shape&#13;
depending on the target group and the very interested. This article concerns the issues of promoting&#13;
statistical skills among students, schoolchildren and academic institutions running statistical&#13;
courses. There are thousands of newspaper publications, pieces of information, abstracts and&#13;
summaries from among which the lecturers can choose. However, there is a necessity to identify&#13;
those particular and proper during courses in order to promote statistics and statistical skills correctly.

The paper presents part of the results of the research project on students’ entrepreneurial intentions.&#13;
The aim of the study is to determine the influence of different groups of factors on entrepreneurial&#13;
intentions that is students’ perceptions of becoming an entrepreneur in future. In this&#13;
paper the attention is mainly focused on a correlation between entrepreneurship education and&#13;
students’ entrepreneurial intentions.

<summary type="text">Ocena jakości nauczania przedmiotów ekonomicznych na przykładzie Wydziału Ekonomicznego Zachodniopomorskiego Uniwersytetu Technologicznego w Szczecinie

In the article was conducted indirect control of the learning process based on learning outcomes&#13;
of compulsory and directional subjects, which are realized on the first degree of full-time&#13;
studies of Economics in the Faculty of Economics of West Pomeranian University of Technology&#13;
in Szczecin. Learning process was evaluated through:&#13;
- analysis of the distribution of grades obtained in the exam of the compulsory subjects for&#13;
all students (to detect anomalies in the process of assessing the degree of assimilation of knowledge&#13;
by over- or undervaluation of marks);&#13;
- application of Ward method to identify similar groups of subjects in respect of obtained&#13;
marks;&#13;
- analysis of the relationship between grades obtained in completion and exams for the same&#13;
subject (to detect significant differences in the grading system).

The article consists of the overview of researches on college students and refers to challenges&#13;
faced by academic teachers. The author claims the quality transition affected students in the past&#13;
20 years. The articles explores the influence of an ubiquitous access to the Internet, changes in&#13;
students intelligence distribution, multitasking and cultural and cognitive differences between East&#13;
and West cultures in the context of foreign students in Polish universities.
