Sektor usług w małych miastach strefy zewnętrznej Aglomeracji Górnośląskiej Adamczyk, Rafał Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje zmiany struktury gospodarczej 10 małych miast, położonych w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie strefy wewnętrznej Aglomeracji Górnośląskiej. W pierwszej części autor koncentruje się na analizie potencjalnych funkcji małych miast, następnie przedstawia ich podstawową charakterystykę, a w zakończeniu podejmuje próbę oceny zmian sektora usług w małych miastach w latach 2002‒2009, stanowiących bezpośrednie zaplecze Górnośląskiego Związku Metropolitalnego.; The processes of metropolisation of the urban agglomeration wo rk, in favour of energising the spatial and economic changes in small towns located in its oute r zone, as well as in favour of the development of their specialized functions. The rate of the transformation of the functional structure of small towns located in metropolitan areas depends on many factors, so the formation processes of local poles of service and economic activity can take place in different ways and in different locations. The aim of the article is to present changes of the economic and functional structure of 10 cities having a population of less than 20 thousand, placed in the direct neighbourhood of the inner zone of Upper - Silesian Agglomeration. The following centres belong to this group: Bieruń, Imielin, Lędziny, Łazy, Pyskowice, Radzionków, Siewierz, Sławków, Sośnicowice and Wojkowice. The first part of the paper attempts to present the potential functions of small towns in the outer zone of the urban agglomeration, which is undergoing the metropolisa tion process. Later sections of the study present the basic characteristics of the small towns located in the immediate vicinity of the inner zone of the Upper Silesian Agglomeration and then attempts to analyse the changes in the service sector in small towns which constituted a direct base for the Upper Silesian Metropolitan Union between 2002 and 2009.

Poza domem - przestrzeń publiczna mieszkańców blokowisk małych miast Janiszewska, Anna; Klima, Ewa; Rochmińska, Agnieszka Przestrzeń publiczna jest to przestrzeń interreakcji – spotkań z ludźmi (sąsiadami), w wymiarze przestrzennym umiejscawia się ją poza mieszkaniem, ale w granicach osiedla. W analizie przestrzeni publicznej mieszkańców blokowisk małych miast traktowano ją jako społeczną strukturę przestrzeni, tj. przestrzeń działań koniecznych, opcjonalnych i społecznych. Wykorzystano także podział przestrzeni publicznej na wewnętrzną i zewnętrzną. Wyniki badań wskazują, że mieszkańcy osiedli blokowych w małych miastach utrzymują liczniejsze kontakty międzysąsiedzkie niż w dużych miastach (np. w Łodzi), a dystans między mieszkańcami jest mniejszy. Podobne jak w Łodzi były natomiast opinie mieszkańców małych miast dotyczące struktury przestrzeni.; Public space is a space of interaction – meeting people (neighbours) – which within the spatial dimension is placed outside of home but within the limits of a given residential complex. When analysing it, I considered public space of the inhabitants of housing projects in small towns as a social structure of space, i.e. space of necessary, optional or social activities. I also used the division of public space into internal and external. Study results indicate that the inhabitants o f housing projects in small towns maintain more neighbour - to - neighbour contacts than the inhabitants of large cities (e.g. Łódź) and the distance between the inhabitants is smaller. What was similar to Łódź, were the opinions of the inhabitants of small to wns regarding the structure of space, i.e. the division into internal and external space

Celem badań było ukazanie dynamiki, charakteru i tempa zmian w sektorze usług w 2002 i 2010 r. na granicy z Niemcami i Rosją. Wyniki badań ujęte zostały w postaci modelu analogowego.; The article presents how the development of services in small, frontier cities varies according to different social, economic and legal factors. The aim of the article is to show the dynamics, character and speed of changes occurring in 2002 and 2010 in small cities along Poland’s border with Germany and Russia. The results are presented in the form of an analogue model.

Rozwój i struktura usług na terenach przemysłowych w wybranych małych miastach województwa dolnośląskiego Sikorski, Dominik Struktura przestrzenna miast w Polsce w okresie ostatnich kilkunastu lat uległa poważnym przeobrażeniom. Transformacja ustrojowa, która dokonała się w naszym kraju po 1989 r. istotnie wpłynęła na przebieg procesów i zjawisk zachodzących wewnątrz tkanki miejskiej. Ważnym aspektem tych przeobrażeń były i są przebiegające na terenie miast przemiany funkcjonalne terenów przemysłowych. Jednym z procesów zachodzącym na terenach przemysłowych w miastach polskich po 1989 r. jest proces sukcesji funkcjonalnej, który powodował pojawianie się na terenach przemysłowych nowych podmiotów gospodarczych o innej funkcji, najczęściej o funkcji usługowej. W artykule zaprezentowane zostały, na przykładzie wybranych kilku małych miast województwa dolnośląskiego, procesy sukcesji funkcjonalnej na terenach przemysłowych obejmujących swym zasięgiem podmioty z III sektora gospodarki narodowej.; The spatial structure of cities in Poland over the last several years has undergone a remarkable transformation. The political transformation that has taken place in our country after 1989 had a significant impact on the processes and phenomena in the urban fabric. An important aspect of these transformations have been and are running in the urban transformation of functional industrial areas. O ne of the processes taking place in industrial areas in Polish cities after 1989 is a functional succession process that caused the emergence of the industrial areas of new business entities with different functions, most of the service function. In the pa per presented, based on selected several small towns of Lower Silesia, functional succession processes in industrial areas covering the subjects of the third sector of the national economy.
